THE EMERGING LEADER GROUP OF RAISE THE TIDE™
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Program participants are admitted by invitation-only. All accepted participants are required to commit to 12 months of participation. It takes time to develop strong relationships, foster meaningful discussions, and make progress on your professional goals.
You must also be:
- An in-house Communications senior manager/director(ish) level (internal comms, PR or related at the senior manager, assistant director, or director level – no agency members as the challenges for agency employees are different).
- Committed to advancing yourself, your field and other women in the field.
- Ready to confront the “blocker” issues getting in your way, even if it’s uncomfortable.
- Believe in the power of collaboration, and ready to throw competitiveness in the trash where it belongs.
- Ready to celebrate other’s wins as your own and be inspired by other’s growth.
- Ready to invest in yourself – in time, money and energy.
- Inspired to learn from your own growth and pay-it-forward.
THE INVESTMENT:
Cost of the program is $12,000 total for 12 months. Payments can be made in full at the start of the program, in two equal payments, or in monthly installments via check, ACH or credit card.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- If you are accepted into the program, you’ll get the paperwork, program tools, and all of the info. to officially sign up. Then …
- You’ll complete a self-assessment that will help us hone in together on your specific program goals.
- You’ll schedule an individual online session with Tara to solidify your specific goals for the program.
- Once per month, we’ll gather for live co-hort video calls for 90 minutes (hoodies and athleisurewear are welcome. This is your crew. You don’t have to dress up for us). The calls will be recorded so you can access them after and listen the brilliance once again. It’s required that we agree to Vegas rules. This is true of the recordings, conversations, and app-based chats. We keep things confidential in our group. It’s imperative.
- Between calls, you’ll have free access to an app-based (on your phone) walkie-talkie-style voice and text messaging service. Through that app, you can connect with Tara directly, or with the entire group on-demand to ask a question, share a challenge, or tell us something to celebrate. It’s a lively place to maintain connection and support between calls.
- At six-months, you’ll have another one-on-one call with Tara to discuss progress with your goals and set or re-set with next steps for the remainder of the program.
- All participants are invited to participate in the broader Raise the Tide for professional Women Communicators online event. This is a one-time program designed to match women at your career stage with a mentor at a later stage. Through it, you’ll hear from VP and Senior Director-level members about lessons in their careers, advice, and the door will be open to mentoring relationships, if there is a match and you both choose to pursue it. We will provide matching and guidance for both parties on creating that mentoring relationship for you to take from there.
- NEW FEATURE: You get two 30-minute “incase of emergency break glass” calls. These are one-on-one calls with Tara to ask questions on a topic that’s deeper than what we can address in our walkie-talkie apps or in a group call, to use if needed, when needed.
- BIG BONUS: We’ll gather for a retreat one time during the year to foster even deeper connections and dive into the big-boulder challenging stuff everyone is facing.
